69 tilt wheel switch
« on: April 14, 2015, 12:59:20 PM »
should the tilt wheel switch be white plastic like the interior light switch or chrome? My memory (usually wrong) tells me chrome but npd shows it to be white plastic. There is an NOS switch on EBAY that is white with a white plunger with a C8OZ number> I just remember it was different than the light switch.
Thanks

I cannot answer for the 69's...I have a 67 and too likely it is not the same. I am curious though  8)

Stainless I think and not chrome. This is different then the plastic door switch.

Thanks Bob, I guess my memory may not be as bad as I thought (still confused chrome and stainless though). NPD has a stainless tilt switch for 67's. Do you think this be correct for 69?

If its a black button, stainless round base (with two flattened sides/edges) should work fine as a replacement

Thanks Jeff,  I ordered one of each and they should arrive today. Looking at the pic in their catalog the stainless one appears to have a round flange with a black button but it will have to do until I find a correct one...TOB

Thank you Jeff. I have spent several hours searching for a good picture and finally found a cougar picture yesterday. Found a lot of white with black buttons like NPD lists but I knew that wasn't correct for tilt. Again Thanks TOB
