1970 Dated Autolite battery Question
« on: August 08, 2015, 11:26:54 PM »
I have an Autolite battery still in the original box. I don't know what year it is but the letters that are heat stamped on the top of it are OLO5 C 87. Does anyone know what this means ?

Suggest you post a picture of the top and bottom of the battery

Guessing this is a Grp 24 battery?

Also welcome to the site

I'll try to get some pictures of it and post them. What a great site for Mustang owners.

I finally got some pictures of the battery.
Appears to be a Oct 1970 dry charged NOS 24F battery.

Any idea on what it might be worth ?  It might be good for someone with a concours type car. I have a 70 Mach 1 but it's no where near concours condition.

I havn't sold any or haven't seen any for sale to base a market value on. Try Perkins Restoration . He deals in those.
