Cooling fan
« on: November 03, 2015, 08:55:50 PM »
I found a fan marked with S  C6ME-A  and what looks like a early 69 date would the S signify a service part ?

Not sure which S you might be referring to but if I understand your finding would guess that its a maker/suppliers mark identifying who made it.

Could be a service replacement or original - depends on the details

I have seen the S on different Ford fans, too. My guess is a manufacturers mark too.

Mustang tek shows an S also but I get the idea this is from a "ford" meaning a big car.

Guess their wrong if their suggesting that. 65-66 Hipo fans have an S stamped on their blades for example

Mustangtek doesn't state any claims about the "S" on any fans. They don't even mention it, the only place they are seen is in the photos. Looking through their photos, many have an "S" before the part number, and a bunch have an "H". Some have "CF" - these seem to be on the flex fans.
