Topic: Did All 69 Mustangs Come with Seat Head Rest?

My 69 May Dearborn build GT's Marty report shows it came with "2A Black Vinyl Standard Bucket Seats" I assume these are the low profile seats, but should these seats have the head rest on them? The one's that came with my car and all the parts not yet installed including the seats did not have the head rest on them.

I thoughts that all 69's except for Lincoln MK III had the headrests standard on vehicles sold after January 1st as headrests became a standard equipment?

My 1969 SCJ sports roof came with standard bucket seats and did have adjustable head rests. This was a bare bones car leading me to believe the headrests were standard. Hope this helps.

Headrests were Federally mandated for passenger cars on Jan 1, 1969.

Time to check the seats to see if someone swapped out the originals for 68's

My Seats look like these but they don't have the head rest part can the Head Rest be added ? Be easier then finding new seats ?

Believe its easier to find good cores than add that feature

Your seats could be as previously stated, 1968 seats OR somebody could have possibly upholstered OVER the area for the headrests...Couldn't hurt to open up the seats and look first.
