Carpet underlayment

I see NPD sell 2 styles. Early-thin and late-thick. Wondering which one to order. The original stuff was tossed decades ago so nothing to reference. March build. Thanks. Brian

Originally a 67 San Jose built Shelby around that same time would have very likely come with the thick tar, jute, tar style of underlayment along with the jut underlayment attached to the carpet
