Looking for some help in Identifying this rear sway bar.
BOSS 302/BOSS 429/Mach1 ?

Looks right, but without dimensions no way to tell for sure. What's the diameter of the bar? What are the dimensions hole center to center on the mounting plates?

if its 1/2 its a 70 mustang with a comp. suspension if 5/8 boss 302

Think measurements might be more helpful as Royce wrote since it also looks like a 71-3 Mustang and Cougar style also.

Can't find a picture or recall if there was a difference in the mounting pads between 70 and the later versions. There was a thicker one we used to swap in from 80's sedans with the suspension package also that had a similar shape.

I think there might also be a Fairlane / Cobra / Torino / Cyclone version. The mounting plate holes look symmetrical, which would seem to indicate Mustang. But the length, width, and diameter of the bar is what would indicate the application otherwise. These parts are 49 years old and they get mixed and matched sometimes.

After extensive research it turns out to be a 1970 1/2" Rear Sway Bar, Part number D0ZZ-5A772-A, used on Mach1 and some Boss 302's
Some 70 Boss 302 cars left the factory with 1/2" bars and others with 5/8" bars.
Also some 428 Mach1 owners report having this 1/2" bar from the factory.
