power steering hose foam piece
« on: April 30, 2011, 04:25:31 PM »
There is a 3" piece of foam on one of the power steering lines down where it goes over the engine mount.  I'd like to replace mine since its starting to fall apart.  Any idea where I can get a piece of foam?

NPD has a sleeve, P/S hose protector in their catalog.  It's for '69-'71 applications and is 20" long, cut to fit.  I'm sure it will work in your application.

Think the GM sealers use to carry the stuff. Would have to look through my notes to find the part number. If its the same stuff (like the original) you would likely be better off just going with the NPD ordering

Yep.  I tried to reproduce that detail.  But I think the original was much thicker coat of paint. :)
