Jeff Speegle / Plant Managers
« on: September 27, 2011, 06:26:36 AM »
I have read that Jeff actually interviewed several managers, line workers, and even plant managers from back in the day.
Jeff, I'd just like to know if the transcripts of those discussions are available for public consumption?

No we made personal notes notes and such at the time. One discussion was a phone call from a managers following an article I wrote for a magazine in the very early 90's. Sort of out of the blue - not something I could arrange any recording for. Some of the others were also informal - running across workers at shows, swap meets or even just walking into the shop so no way of planning ahead. Some of the others we knew over many years so discussions took place at the dinner table, at picnics and such- we often didn't see it as something to record since workers were easy to find and know at the time.

In up coming talks/interviews I've looked into recording the discussions though not sure what we'll do with the recordings ;)

The interview unfortunately real typical of allot of workers - only knew wheat was going on at their stations and maybe the one to the left or right.  Was fun to listen to and glad Jack provided it.
