Any one reading this site and is going to Vegas--you can contact Matt and I about other hotels to stay at.  We winter in Vegas and there are hotels on Craig Road closer to the speedway.  Cannery Casino is right off the I 15 and plenty of restaurants and amenities.  We can also tell you what the areas are like at the north end of Vegas.  Can give plenty of info about Vegas.  Sherry

So when would you guys think it is time to make reservations and such? Have the high level plan made, but as I am living In Sweden, it's not like I just drive over there... ;-)

The Excalibur has room for trailer parking and is a great hotel.  We stayed there on the trip to and from Utah.  It is a bit far from the speed way.  As are all the hotels on the strip.  I will have to check out the suggested places closer. I was afraid the main hotel would be at the strip.

Despite the distance, I still would rather stay on the strip.  I've had several bad experiences with North LV hotels in the past.  I like the Excalibur and have stayed there several times, including with my rig while on the way to Utah in 2004.

Mopars at the Strip (LVMS) used the Cannery as their host hotel in March and they had no problem.  Las Vegas Blvd and Tropicana where the Excalibur and host hotels are located is a very busy intersection.  The I 15 is a nightmare during business hours.  April weather can be very windy and hot.  North Las Vegas is not downtown.  If you have never been to Vegas then yes the strip is where you want to be.  But you have to watch out for all the panhandlers, scam artists and animals.

Has anyone heard what the trailer parking is going to be like at Charlotte?

Three friends from Sweden and I are going to Vegas. We are driving up from Dallas.
Have a question, I have booked and paid for 4 event tickets, i.e. all days, dinner and parking.
When and where will I get these tickets? Anybody know.

You would need to ask over on the MCA site or call them. I've got no idea - not involved with the shows
