I am rebuilding a hipo distributor C70F-12127-K, date code 7G26 for my motor.

I ordered a replacement upper bushing C5AZ-12120-A on Amazon.com from a Ford dealer in GA.  I ordered this part based on information published in the April 2009 Mustang Monthly.

Today the NOS part arrived and it is not even close.

The bushing I pressed out of the housing measures (in inches) 0.687 OD, 0.466 ID, and 0.715 tall. 

The part I received in the NOS box measures 0.766 OD, 0.529 ID, and 0.746 tall.

I am wondering if anyone can tell me if I have the part number right, if I got the wrong part in the right box, or if the part number information in MM is not accurate.

I'm no expert but, I took a look at the FPC and the upper bushing for a C7OF-12127-K distributor is B8QH-12120-A (MC-148) The bushing you have was used in later years. Noteably on the 351W in the 70 GT350 with Automatic transmission.
The MC-148 bushing looks to be still available from Ford for about $2.
