Title: 1965 gt/1966 hood trim identification

Are there any markings(part# or other) to identify original '65 gt/'66 front hood trim?  Anyone try the reproduction stating it is made from original Ford tooling....wondering if it fits and the holes line up with those in an original hood.

As far as I can tell, Ford identified that trim piece either via the bag (service) or a paper tag (I saw one at a swap meet, but?). The reproduction trim piece "fits". It's the holes in the hood that are wrong.

Thanks, I don't want to have to drill any "new" holes. I have seen a few NOS in the paper wrapper you mentioned.
