Title: Radiator support numbers
Post by: 64.5 Rick on June 13, 2018, 01:10:09 PM
Can anyone help decode the following codes that I found on a radiator support?

B48 3
76A
MY 21
PT
PM

Thanks for any help with these codes.
Rick

I do remember that the Pace Cars had "Pace car" etched along the top of the support - if that helps at all.

Post some pictures if you can.

Some of your answers can be found here:

Guess your asking about 64 Dearborn practices?

You may have decoded some differently than originally applied so as mentioned a picture would help.

Also consider that these will not be visible at all (well maybe from an odd angle ;)  once the car is restored. DON"T go putting them on the radiator support and not blacking over them  ::)

Normally these relate to the first half of production where the unibody panels are assembled, brackets welded to the unibody, holes drilled and that assembly (the unibody and attaching panels) are painted. Those codes relate to those practices and taks so you see

First rotation number - body type, interior and exterior colors and so on.
