Title: Styled Steel Wheels - What trim rings are these?
Post by: Zack427 on April 11, 2022, 08:56:38 AM
Hi,

I just bought a set of styled steel wheels, Date code 8ML, to restore.

Does anyone know what trim rings these are? I will likely swap them out when I find a find a set of original ?67/?68 ones but I?ve never seen these before. Thanks

Looks like those have a lip at the bottom/inner edge. You can get ones like those as generic aftermarket replacements.  Often cheaper versions than originals.

Have also seen them on some GM wheels

Not sure if the rims are the same fit GT and Sprint B with styled wheels but here's mine.  As Jeff mentioned,  there is no lip on mine.

Like Jeff said those trim rings are not OEM.

The 1967 ones are polished all over.

The 1968 ones are brush finish on the inner ring.

WCCC carries reproductions of both the '67 and the '68 versions.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. Much appreciated  :)

I got my wheel guy to do a brush finish on the trim rings until I can locate a set of C8OA-1210-B. Certainly not the worst looking trim ring, just not original  :D
