70 428CJ 4 speed Back up switch harness clip

is there a back up switch harness retainer clip other than the L clip/bracket that is near the tailshaft on a 70 metuchen 4 speed car and how does it route up to the main harness connector on the firewall  . thanks.

If you mean another clip before the wiring gets to the firewall, the answer is no - just the one at the tailshaft.  I think it should route through a loop style retainer that is hooked on one of the nail head looking posts on the firewall.

By back up wiring clip I'm guessing that your referring to one like what is shown on Jack's site

If so then we can try to work from there. As rockhouse66 mentioned there is a retainer on the face of the firewall before the connection plugs into the firewall junction

Yes Jeff i was referring to the wire clip near the tail shaft that is on jacks site,i have the original one in place in my trans, back up switch also installed just wanted to have the forward section of the harness in the right place. thanks, chuck.
