auto trans shift linkage rod plating

Generally speaking, what would be the most common plating on the rod between the shifter and trans, phos/oil? This question is not for mustang, but another car. It looks like phos/oil, just wondering what mustang rods are.

69 Mustangs -phos/oil .  Kick down to carb I have seen more zinc dichromate then I have seen zinc silver
