65 Body Plugs - Dearborn
« on: July 30, 2020, 12:05:31 AM »
For a May 65 Dearborn Fastback, would the rubber plug buttons be installed at the forward dolly holes in the rear frame rails? They are shown in the Body Assembly Manual and I see them installed on unrestored early cars but have not seen them on late 65 and 66 cars. (early 65 Dearborn from unrestored section shown in attachment)

Thanks,
James

Focusing just on your specific since I believe the answer will vary depending on a number of details it appears that they were installed and made it to the customers with those plugs in place

Three examples with them from the time period and slightly before

Thanks very much for the feedback and photos.
Appears that maybe the arrow is pointing to wrong hole in the third example but there does appear to be a plug installed in the one near the spring mount.
