Switch in the trunk?

Hey
Have a question about a switch in the trunk of a 1966 shelby.
It is attached to the edge where you see the hole has been drilled.
Do any of you know what this switch was used for?
If it helps, the car was used for track racing.

My confidence level is extremely high that it was for a car alarm system. I have seen them on many cars before.

Agreed - alarm switch for sure. Check door jambs and possibly engine compartment edges also for others
