68 Rear vacum fitting should be painted

Could you tell me what the color of the rear vacuum fitting should be?

Tim must be taking a nap so I will answer:D . The vacuum fitting was added after the pcv system was painted along with the engine block.The vacuum fitting would be the natural brass finish because it was added after. I hope this helps. Nape time for me now. ;) Bob

Its a sticky subject because in the case of your car Al, we are talking an aluminum intake. I think yours is a late install possibly factory as opposed to recall so I'll tell you how Ford intended them to be. At the rear of the aluminum intake are 2 holes. One should have a natural steel plug blocking off the hole. The other should have the factory cast iron intake fitting in the manifold first. It is a round cylindrical shaped fitting with a hex end on it. It should be painted blue and generally it has a short hose connecting two of the 4 ports and is also painted blue. On of the other 4 fittings goes to the thermactor on your 4 speed car and the other is capped (can be either painted or unpainted) Into that is the small brass fitting which is natural.
