66 A code GT (Metuchen) with buck tag of K28 - VIN 6T07A135090 - See the following pictures for marks on the differential housing.
My question is on the teal looking color in the middle 2 pictures. Is this just a paint daub or should it be some other marking?
Thanks,
Allen

Mine had this mark in the turquoise color.

I never could make mine out. Do you know if the 15 has any other significance?

Rotation number?

I can't even say for certain it is a 15 because the rest of the "5" is sort of stylized. And BTW, this is a SJ car.

I had a blue mark on mine as well where yours was at in my posting. Mine looked like an 8:

I can see an "8" there after your suggestion, but it is just not very clear. It appears that the same blue paint is also on the differential at the nut that is closest to the "8". I may have to settle for doing that as I now have the differential painted and could never quite make out what it was.
This acually gets covered up by the rear end tag as well.

IMHO just the assembler or inspectors number. Normally there are two numbers on the third member
Top and passenger side in paint
