Title: Build date vs built-in parts
Post by: camelback on May 11, 2010, 06:05:16 PM
My 67' coupe was scheduled for build on 05/05/67 at Dearborn, a white 289/C4, nothing special.

The following parts or how the parts are mounted are confusing:

I'm wondering if someone has changed this items during the years, but to replace the fuel line in a complete different way makes no sense to me....

Did you get a Marti report to find out exactly when your car was really built?

That aside yes you car is very late for those features but it would not be unusual for a prior owner to use parts from an earlier car on yours - including the fuel line routing as they may have thought all 67 were equipped the same

Yes I have a Marti report:  Order Received: 04/25/67
                                    Serialized:        04/26/67
                                    Scheduled:       05/05/67
                                    Built:               05/05/67
                                    Released:         05/05/67
                                    Sold:               05/10/67

not be unusual for a prior owner to use parts from an earlier car on yours

Must be. 43 years is a long story. And the fuel line was changed ones for sure.

Thanks for your help Jeff!
