Title: Windshield washer reservoir

Any tips on techniques for taking  ford reservoir from  yellowed to a cleaner shade of white.

Is it surface yellow or all the way through? If all the way through, I'm not aware of any process that will reverse it.

I've not tried this but possibly the polish used to restore plastic headlight lenses will work; only if it's surface yellow though. Try an inconspicuous as possible spot first. A mildly abrasive tooth paste on a damp rag may be another possibility. I have some other ideas but they may be harmful, so better not share those.

Hopefully someone else has had experience with this and will share.

P.S. - Don't use bleaching chemicals, peroxides or paint or lacquer thinners, it'll break down the plastic. Slow and steady is best whatever way is the most effective and don't place it in the sun, the plastic will become brittle.
