Title: Yellowed Radio Dial

The numbers on my AM radio are noticeably yellowed. I read somewhere out in internet space that this was an early production thing and that later radios were bright white. Any truth to this? Did the different manufacturers have anything to do with it or is the yellowing simply a result of fading over time?
