Title: A/C Evaporator View

On my 66 Convt., on the underdash A/C unit, when you look into the unit as it was originally installed, do you have a clear view of the evaporator coil, or is it supposed to be blocked out by a screen or something a little more aesthetic?

Pretty sure there was a screen on '66 units.

Not that he needs my confirmation to be sure, but Charles is correct. There is a fine mesh screen in front of it Bryan. If you need it, I can get you a picture of my '66 under dash unit.

No, it's one I got back in May, but my Australian buddy snagged it.

Well, I don't think any pictures I took could demonstrate the screen any better than the one Charles posted!  ;)

Great pic Charles! While my unit isn't NOS, I got lucky enough to get one that's pretty close!
