NOS Carlite glass pictures
« on: June 18, 2015, 02:33:32 PM »

I'm working on a new article and looking if anyone else out there has any NOS Carlite glass and what the stickers on the glass and/or packaging looks like.  Example of what I have here below....if anyone has anything they can share you can post, or email, or give me a call.  This would be for anything from 1964 to 1973.  Hoping to get a few more examples....

I dont know an exact date when they started using bar codes since that is outside of the scope of what I am working on here....but it was not used in the 60's or 70's in this industry for sure.  So anything with a bar code is outside of what our interest would be here...

Yes, the first use of a bar code was 1974, but to stay on topic here this is not something that was being used by Carlite or Ford at all during this time.  It took years for bar codes to become widely used well beyond the 1970's.

MARCUS.

something I had saved in my watch list not so long ago.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-1968-FORD-MUSTANG-VENT-GLASS-NEW-OLD-STOCK-OEM-FROM-FORD-/281674654854?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=DIRnQjgMHG9cdbqJQIZUfyCeA0Y%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

I have a few pieces on hand that are NOS pieces but are tucked away (65/66 application) and will take time to relocate
hope this assist in your collection of information.

Hi there Phil....thanks for the Ebay listing link.  This is later than what I was looking for.  I will post a few more examples here so people can see what I am looking at.
