1970 Boss 302 tires

<< < (3/3)

PerkinsRestoration:
According to Goodyear prints from John Kelsey the tire size in RWL was a  was a late November 69 production change. I would like to see an original tire with size in RWL prior to Nov. 1969?  The date code on the tire is the truth teller.

specialed:
Talked to John Kelsey at Tulsa ford meet & I gave him the 4 tire date codes 2- JE91G28  1-JE91H38    1 JE91G38  off original 4700mi. Jan Byrds KK 2296 invoiced 10-27-1969  &  11-7-1969  .  He called today & told me he decoded the dates   all 4 goodyear F-60-15 polyglas gt with the size  nov 1969   akron oh. plant. This is the earliest built car I have found having the f-60-15 white letters on the tire sidewall.   So could this boss 429 have got some of the first with the size tire shipment as akron is only 150mi. or so from Dearborn or did the original wheels & tires get stolen when new while being transported & replaced later?
