I was until my friend decided he didn't want his truck that close to the border.   :'(

We thought about going but it’s a long ride with a trailer. Next I was considering stopping in as part of a work trip but it’s stiil quite a ride from Austin. After looking at the map, I’m glade I’m not taking a car. It’s too close to the border for my comfort. We had a really bad experience with auto theft going to a show last year.

Hope it’s a great show.

It will be a great show and security for vehicles will not be a problem. There are 170 preregistered cars, and there will a large display contingent.  They typically have several hundred cars at their local shows.

I'll be there bringing 2 cars. Being close to the border is NOT an issue. Going to be a great show.

Decided to cancel going.  Not worth renting a car, gas money, hotel, food, and spending money and 800 miles of driving for 1 car.

Judged it in Myrtle Beach with Richard.  What did you get?

LOL Got a Gold at Myrtle Beach and then a Bronze in Pensacola. Gold at KC and Gold at this show.

Sorry to hear of the turn out. Don't know that I can ever recall such a small turn out in that class ever as it typically was one of the best participated in of all the classes

As far as I know there where only 2 of us at the last Grand National in KC. Many are changing to OCD because of all the rule changes in CTA. At least that is the reason they told me.

sounds like they just want an award & don't care how the car can score in the top classes. rules changes were meant to help improve the cars.
