Center Cap Magnum 500
« on: October 11, 2018, 10:20:11 AM »
I need one center cap for a '66 Mustang.  Need not be mint, just has to attach solidly to the rim.  Thank you.

FYI, that's a center cap for a '69 and later Magnum 500, not a '66.

Thanks Doug. I figured it may not be correct which is why I posted the picture.  They just need one to replace a missing cap. I would hope that, down the road, they buy new rims as the ones on the car are not very nice.

So, does anyone have one to sell?  Or can tell me the best place to source one?

Any Mustang vendor should be able to get you one. They have been reproduced and are common.

Thank You.  Are most of good quality? I have purchased enough parts to know that there are those to avoid.

The originals had a series of spring steel tangs on the back to hold them on. Many fell off on their own or were easily stolen.
The new reproduction ones have a plate and screws to attach them.
Once they're on , who can tell?
I wouldn't be afraid to use the new ones.
