67 / 68 Fastback Deck Lid
« on: January 26, 2020, 09:12:48 AM »
67 / 68 Fastback Deck Lid from CA, purchased as a back-up plan for my 67. I was able to save the deck lid original to my car, so this one has sat in my shop for two decades now.
It came out of a restoration shop near Hollywood CA. It was stripped to bare metal, seam sealed primed and painted silver with Shelby stripes. It's still painted as I bought it. It looks excellent yet I can neither confirm or deny the rust free nature which was expressed to me prior to purchase.

$525 plus shipping (located in MN)

I would LOVE to post a picture! For some reason the upload software won't let me. I have contacted Charles about this several times and he informs me there's nothing wrong with my account. It doesn't work regardless of the computer I use. Send me a PM with your email and I'll gladly send you some pics.

The date code stamp is visible, but without grinding the paint down, I can't read it.

So you can't use "Attachments and other options?"

What operating system are you using, Windows based or Apple based?

I am using windows. It doesn't matter which PC I use or how I attempt the upload, all attempts fail. Many years ago I COULD upload photos. However, sometime in the last few years it stopped working. I can assign files to the attachment manager, but when I click "Post", it just says "waiting for http://www.concoursmustang.com..."

This is why I rarely list items for sale anymore. Sorry.

Ah, the dreaded 'waiting for ..." and all you get is a blank screen. And nothing happens.

Next time write your text without adding a pic.
Then modify and add the pic through the "Attachments" link.
Then select "Update".
If you have more than one pic you may have to add pics one at a time.

After a few posts done this way it clears up.
I think it's a bug in the Simple Machines software (memory overwrite or out of bounds).

I am using windows.
As I do. I download pictures to a file in my Windows computer as a .jpg file, I have many to select from, then access that file to retrieve the picture via the attachments feature on posts. I also do the same for spreadsheets and .doc or .txt files. That method works on all three of my computers. As to Apple, I was told a similar method works there as well.

I cannot post pics to this forum. Therefore, here's a link to this deck lid for sale: https://rmn.craigslist.org/pts/d/chatfield-mustang-fastback-deck-trunk/7074457685.html

Someone has expressed serious interest in buying it and having it shipped, yet I do still have the decklid at this time. The date is difficult to read but I think it's a February or March date.
