I'll be in Tucson Sunday through Wednesday but not for the show; I have other business to attend to.  Best of luck to y'all out there!

Hey, we need to get together!

The Casino Del Sol has decided to cancel all events at the resort through the end of the year.  So, that means our show is cancelled.  We are once again trying to reschedule, this time for next year.

I thought it to be a bit odd seeing it posted on FB yesterday as cancelled.

I guess I will just cover the car and put in the back of the garage until next year.

Yeah, this has not been fun.  It's the second cancellation for this show.  We believe they pulled the plug too early.  Conditions are rapidly improving in southern Arizona and the Tucson area never was as bad as Phoenix and the Navajo Reservation.  We are going to try again as soon as we can reschedule it.  We were up to 156 cars and had about 50 cancellations from both attempts.  It was going to be our best show yet.

Really sorry to see that this one was canceled. In the positive light you gave it your all but somethings are beyond your control.

Best wishes for the next one in the future

What a huge bummer. Has Casino Del sol cancelled our room reservations or do we need to call them?

As of a couple  of days back, the SAAC event in Indiana is still on. Maybe there are last minute accommodations left, (for anyone who needs to at least "get to a show" this year).

I cannot imagine all of the wasted hours of time (and money) lost to such cancelations. Over here in Cleveland Browns territory, their motto is "There's always next year".

Yes Indiana fall classic is still a go and rooms available (but no discount as before sept 1 that i know of) and the french lick resort is big and lots of things to do and see. The historic west baden hotel is  next to the french lick resort and a casino between them and the show will be all inside carpeted pavillion and covered parking garage next to it so weather wont be a factor. Local car tours and concours judging. popular vote and banquet oct 2-3-4 with very rare cars coming from all over the usa including 66 gt40s and the hero car from ford vs ferrari.  We are hosting the 50th anniversary of the 1970 shelby and boss cars . We have 2 lifts coming for indoor concours judging and around 18 cars to judge by qualified judges coming from all over the U.S. We have been working on this fall show after hearing of all the other cancelled events starting in march including our INSAAC spring fling may show thats been going on since the late 70s. There are cheaper local motels in the area if u cant afford the resort and anyone can come to this free event just go to  www.insaac.org

Craig

I would recommend calling them.  I have asked my contact to cancel our block, but I wouldn't rely on that happening.
