« on: February 07, 2021, 03:13:32 PM »
I understand their was a FORD dress up kit for the 1967 small block 289 that included a chrome dipstick. Anyone have an original kit or pieces?  Thank you

I believe it included a chrome handle dipstick and not the tube.

+1 Don't recall ever seeing a factory dress up kit from the mid-late 60's with a tube included

Bob and Jeff are correct ; no dipstick Tube. I have attached a copy from the December 1966 Ford "Parts and Service Merchandising News" that shows the contents of the 1967 289 and 390 Engine Dress Up Kits. Also attached is a picture that Bob Perkins Posted when this topic was discussed a year or two ago, of his Kit. Note that the Chrome Dipstick is not shown ; he used it on one of his cars. In addition, his Kit also included a pair of the Cobra Fender Emblems, one of which is shown in the last picture.

Hope this helps.

Bob

P.S. While Bob Perkins' Kit includes the earlier style Cobra Valve Covers, it was noted in the previous discussion that some Kits have been observed with the later wrinle finish Valve Covers.
