1965 Fuel Sending Unit Plating?
«

Was just wondering if anyone knew the type of plating that is on the fuel sending unit main housing to keep it from rusting? The only noticeable plating that I have found is clear zinc on the rivets and washers. Any help would be much appreciated.

I believe the factory original was galvanized but not 100% sure.

The fuel sending unit looks like it was the same ni-terne coating as the gas tank.
