Pulled my old Philco AM out of the box where it's been for the last 20 years and looked it over. The radio is completely original and was working last time it was in the car. At what point do you consider sending your radio off to be restored? It is such a small section showing after you attach the bezel.

It's just the silver line is faded that runs horizontally. The lens is not cracked. Some of the white numbers are not perfectly white anymore.

I've never been able to find a good way to restore the chrome line other than using something like chrome/silver paint.

Frank might be able to find an automotive paint that could replicate it.

Plastic model "silver foil" used for doing chrome side trim on kits. You can buy it at some of the better hobby shops.

I've redone worn silver lines across 2 radios and both owners were happy with the results.
I used: Duplicolor CHROME spray can #CS101

I removed the entire bezel but you probably don't have to do that.  Just mask real good and run some fine scotchbrite over it and make sure it's real clean. 

Spray the can in the air the first time to begin a good stream of paint.
Do 2 pass, then stop.
