Perfect Seam Sealer?
« on: February 13, 2010, 09:48:39 AM »
I followed Charles' advice and ordered a case of Lord FUSOR 805 for sound deadener/wheelhouse stuff.  Thanks Charles.  While researching how to use it correctly on the LORD website, I watched their video on it.  It's perfect.  I also watched their video on (I think it's #804 or #806) spray on seam sealer.  They adjusted the gun in the video so that their application LOOKED JUST EXACTLY LIKE THE WAY THE ORIGINAL FORD STUFF LOOKED THAT I SCRAPED OFF!!!!  It was the same width, same height, and the ripples in it were a spittin' image of OEM.

Well...You know how when someone says "3m" everyone KNOWS it is a quality product?  LORD is the same way.  I am a helicopter and airplane pilot.  I know about LORD primarily as a vibration specialty compan.  They make the elastometric lead/lag dampers that almost all multi-blade helicopters have on their main rotor blades.  They make the landing gear shock absorbers on the skids.  They make the dynofocal engine mount rubber dampeners for helis and airplanes, and they make the rubber dampeners that almost all aviation avionics instrument panels mount with.
