Has anyone tried to restore an original 66 GT350 gas cap? The emblem on NOS service replacements (and repros) is wrong so was thinking of disassembling my original and giving it a try. Any tips appreciated. Thanks!

Was going to move the topic but thought that if we expanded the process to restoring 65 Mustang and Shelby gas caps it would not just be a Shelby thing. So has anyone restored an early gas cap? 


I've not tried it - though it It could fix all the NOS ones out there would give some ideas a try ;)
