Restoring emergency brake cables
« on: February 22, 2010, 07:24:33 PM »
Is there a way to restore emergency brake cables?  I don't believe they reproduce the cables for the rear that look close.  My cables are not frayed but they are rusty also the rubber is cracked.  Maybe I have to look for a better set but would like to know what can be done with them.

Soak in evapo-rust and then either tumble them or use a small wire brush.

I had mine replated, but if I had it do over I would probably try the Evaporust first.
