Topic: 64 1/2 - 65 Mustang hubcap restoration

  I have a gently used set of NOS 64 1/2 - 65 Mustang hubcaps(I know they are still considered used)  . I have polished the metal portions of the hubcaps but the black has a faded look of  black/dark gray. Does anyone know how best to darken the painted areas up instead of trying to repaint??? Maybe a protectant like Armor-all would darken these?? I wanted to ask before I try. Thanks.

Usually just waxing them will make the black look good.

Before you do anything I would check into this further,
I have a few NOS hub caps that look the same as you describe,
I'm thinking thats the correct way they should be.
Would like to hear others comments on this.
