1967 Mustang / Re: 1967 Front Bumper Overstamped Factory Codes

Since we're talking front bumpers,  can I assume if there are no numbers stamped on the bumper for 67 or 68s then it's not a FoMoCo part? I've taken mine off to replace because it's dented and showing age and it has no numbers on the inside at all.

In addition the wave washers were installed under the mounting brackets and not sandwiched in between the bumper and the mounting bracket per the assembly manual.
No numbers stamped in the front bumper typically = aftermarket part.

While we are on the subject of the PCV tube and the fittings, should the fittings be painted or bare? I have seen photos of both. Also looking to confirm the difference between the 390 and 428 fittings from & rear on the intake and the vacuum tree, assuming there are different applications.

Thanks

The one that isn't painted is the accessory vacuum block that the brake booster tube is connected to. The other fittings are painted including the hose and clamps.

The one below was on my car, but does not mean it was correct or came on the car as delivered

Tucson Bruce, are you the Bruce of 428CJ Convertible fame?  (Don't want to post any names without an OK ....) If so, I think I loaned you a valve cover way back to have that decal made. (In return, you found me the REALLY hard to find fan clutch for my 70 CJ, thanks' again) I'm sure I still have that Valve cover somewhere, I'll dig it out and posts some pic's. It came off a really original low mileage wrecked car in the early 1980's. I have pics of 4 or 5 original decals on cars, every one is missing the piece over the valve cover boss ....   John

I was under the impression that all 67 Fastback rear window glass was tinted.
(The same Ford part number, C7ZB-6342006, is used in 1968.)

Yes all 67 and 68 Fastback rear glass is tinted.

The hood strips are painted on.  The trunk lid stripes are decals.
