I need an exhaust manifold for a Dec. '64 built 200 6 cyl. The original is long gone so I'm guessing the date code should be from Oct.-Dec. '64 to be correct. Any chance someones got one available? ;D

You may won't to try the Ford Six site as well. http://fordsix.com/forum/ (http://fordsix.com/forum/)
That's where I found a very nice replacement for mine.

Hey, thanks for that I'll check it out.
-
I found a Nov. '64 manifold at "Mustangs Etc." in CA. Very nice condition and the perfect date, only 2 days different than the original intake manifold, sometimes persistence does pay off 8).

Well, when I started to blast this manifold I discovered a small crack in it. :'( So, unfortunately, I'm still looking for a proper date coded (late '64) exhaust manifold. Some one has to have one. So any of you guys that did a V8 conversion please check that box of old 6 cyl junk and check those date codes for me.

Have you checked with Bob Perkins? I seem to remember he had an NOS 6 cyl exhaust manifold on ebay recently. There's another one on there now from a different seller, but it has a weird date stamp.
-
I did contact him about that. It was an April '66 date and that weird date stamped one on Ebay had the strange "chrome" finish. Is that the one? It had no date on it, just some letters, "KSI" or something like that.
-
If I remember right, the one on ebay has something like "10-20-94" for a date code. The seller mentions it in the description and there's a relatively clear picture.

I have one like that, it's a Ford service part, hard to call it NOS
when it's made in the 90's, but I guess it is.

Bump-Still looking...

I finally found another manifold. :) Amazing the work that goes into locating one simple part. I now have a Dec 1, '64 engine block (original to the car), a November 17, '64 intake manifold (original to the car) and a November 30, '64 exhaust manifold (not original to the car). Yeah!

Good to hear. It does take an incredible amount of time to do things right.
-
Good job! Always nice to find right parts. Compound your item by about a thousand and that's what I've been faced with on the K convertible! :o

Charles, I can only imagine the searches you've been on (and probably still are)! ;D
