Title: 67 radiator 289 SJ
Post by: 67gta289 on April 10, 2010, 10:28:39 PM
When hunting for an original 67 289 auto, standard cooling radiator, SJ build, what should I be looking for? Any pictures?  Thanks, John

Identification will be visible (date and id letters) embossed in the top tank rather than on the side straps which was done at other plants (suppliers)

In addition some will have a brazed on id tag (AMK and others sell reproductions) attached over one of the straps at the top tank

Sorry don't have the specific id number handy at the moment

Jeff, thanks for the info and picture.  I found one that someone claims is from a 67 SJ 289-2V but the straps are square cut with a very small radius (~1/8"), not like the large radiused plate in your picture.  Would this be incorrect? John

Found a C7ZE radiator, pictured below.  Is this correct for my application?  Thanks, john

Let's try again - is the C7ZE AC2 radiator correct for my application?  If not, what is?  There was no reply to the previous post - is that one more like it?

Thanks, John

Disregard previous post. Looks like the J2 is correct for my application.
