Title: spring clamp identification help request
Post by: 67gta289 on April 06, 2015, 09:28:27 PM
Need help identifying the spring clips in the attached picture.  Not ringing a bell for me at the moment.  Thanks.

Also a second pic with a different clamp - same request.

First picture is for single piston calipers

Second pictures - I've got no idea

2nd picture looks like a caliper/brake pad spring also, but seems more likely a GM product. It would clip around the inner brake pad & hold the pad into a single piston caliper.

Thanks.  I picked up a bunch of parts last year - 95% 67 stuff, but these snuck in there.

2nd picture reference info: Yep, I thought those looked familiar...I remembered. I changed out 2-3 sets a day back in the 80's. working at a GM dealeship.  Those inner pad clips were used in pretty much ALL big GM RWD cars in the 70's thru early/mid 90's as well as 1/2 ton pickups. I looked up an 81 Caprice caliper hardware kit and found it there.
