Title: correct 1966 T-code smog pump belt?
Post by: dsielke on August 29, 2017, 06:24:22 PM
I can't seem to locate a correct smog pump belt for my 1966 San Jose T-code convertible. Is there anyone making one or does it cross reference with one that is being made?

Looked in a Dec 67 MPC and from what I can tell it wasn't serviced at that time.  Was trying to provide at least measurements for comparison. (Length and width)

There is a 170 Bronco listed but don't know the differences but there likely were

Looking through a 66 Ready Reference I found that it only shows tools to determine a replacement- you provide the measurements and they they provide a part number. It also has a conversion for the markings from the fan belt to a part number. That's it :(

The Ready Reference doesn't surprise me since they made (for service parts) belts for every application they could and made allot of non-Ford applications so a list of all the belts would be giant. Sure there is one but don't have one, that list every belt

Marti Auto works might be able to make you one with the correct numbers and logo if you have the measurements.  He recently made a belt for me that is not currently reproduced for early cars with AC and non remote reservoir Eaton pumps.

+1 for Marti Auto Works. I needed the large belt for the thermactor pump to A/C for ours and the gentleman who makes these up for Kevin was really helpful. He had the correct specs for it and ink stamped it, just like they do for all the others. I bought 2 since he was making them up for my order this last year.
