Hi, I'm from Switzerland and I’m new here.
This site helped me a lot already restoring my car concours correct :)
Car is a 69 (Built Oct.68 @Metuchen) Export GT convertible 351W 4bbl, FMX, P/S, P/B, 3.25 rear end, no A/C.
Can anybody tell me what the correct leaf and coil springs markings are? Apparently the GT’s had the handling package with heavy duty suspension.
What color were the leaf springs anyway?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks Oli

Guess you didn't find a build sheet in the car since that would show you the colors. To make a better guess or to be certain what are the engineering numbers from your leaf springs?
Get back to us with that info while I search my notes to see if I can offer some solid answers

Search feature is your friend - Similar question was asked in this one bur realized that I need to rebuild the links so will do that in the next day or so

No build sheet unfortunately :-[
Ok thanks!
I'll clean the old springs and try to find some numbers. They are pretty rusty.

Thanks for the picture and numbers
My best guess would be one gold (what you see as yellow) and one brown stripe
This would match the same rear springs as the H and M code Mach I's that used the heavy duty suspension - and likely the same as the GT package.
After all the years what we see today and without cutting through what remains today colors don't always reflect what they may have looked like originally though in other examples they do. Add to that the differences in digit cameras, that they do to pictures and monitor settings and they can be all over the place. The picture below is just and example
Top stripes were originally two yellow stripes. The center was pink and orange while the bottom was gold and violet
