Title: Original Transmisson Pan Bolts?
Post by: ChrisV289 on February 11, 2018, 09:23:10 AM
So got a new set of transmission pan bolts from amk that have little anchors on them. I removed my old bolts and 8 out of the 11 had the WB on them. The other three were different; 2 had the D and one the E. Are the WB head markings original to the trans pan and where are the  other 3 supposed to be?

WB is a very common makers mark that I have found on transmission pans over the years .

Not unusual IMHO to find a couple of different head markings on the pan bolts

Here is a look at some of them from that car we've been using as a help for your restoration

Hope this helps

You can make out one of the WB style while most of the others are not

Looks like an E in this example

Thanks Jeff and Bob.  I guess I'll clean them up and eventually put them back on the car.
