Title: Yellow Top Coil
Post by: wunderwerks on February 15, 2018, 07:04:52 PM
I have one that you can make out the silver print that shows FAC-120290-A with another number 8CBB below it. Any idea what the application would have been for this coil?

Guessing that it has AUTOLITE rather than FoMoCo in the stamp design. Given the date sounds like a Ford engine built in late spring 1968 through maybe
October 68

Could have been installed on a V8 or 6 cylinder. Passenger vehicle, truck, school bus, irrigation pump engine .....

It has Autolite stamped.  How does the CBB decode or what breaks it down to the time period you stated?

Guess you missed that part of the Decoding Date Codes article in the Library ;)  Page #23

Just click on any year sub section (stickies at the top of the threads) then down apathetically to the article
