Title: 1967 Grille / Stoneguard: Center Bracket
Post by: Angela on July 02, 2011, 07:34:14 PM
Has anyone noted a difference between the outter and center stoneguard brackets? Every outside bracket I have seen has a small hole in it where the bottom edge of the grille is mounted. However, only some (not all) of the center brackets seem to have this hole. I am wondering if the assembly folks just ignored this mounting location for the grille, since the grille seems to be held securely even if this screw is omitted. \
Another observation is that every outter bracket I own has a date code stamped into it However, none of the three center brackets I own has a date code stamping (they are all CA car parts and have no rust). I find this odd.

Can anyone comment as to whether or not it's typical to see this grille mounting hole missing from the center bracket?
