The bracket that holds the brake hose were it attaches to the brake lines on a 67 with drum brakes. I thought they should be painted semi gloss black. I just finished cleaning them but I found no trace of black paint and the area that was undercoated seems to be shiny like maybe they were left natural?

I'm used to seeing those black. Got a pic?

All I have ever seen out of Metuchen for the 67s were semi-gloss black, dipped.

Here are some pics. The lack of paint doesn't mean there wasn't any at some point. Since it seems no one else has seen them unpainted i suspect the paint came off with the undercoating in shiny areas and rusted off else where.

They look like they might not have been painted, hard to tell.

Are these also black on a 68? Mine looked zinc to me.
