66 C code - Starter Cable Question
« on: June 25, 2010, 01:08:03 PM »
66 Conv Met C-Code
My cable from the starter to the solenoid had 2 made on, standoff brackets with a piece of braided heat insulation behind them.

QUESTION:  Starting from the starter, coming fwd, does the order go like this?
1) Starter  2) Braided Insulation  3) Standoff Bracket #1 bolted at front motor mount bolt  4) Standoff Bracket #2 bolted to ?_____________      5) Solenoid

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks

the standoffs bolt to the motor mounts and the insulation is between the mounts.

That SEEMED more logical but my standoffs didn't look like they had ever been taken off and I wondered why the insulation was BEHIND both of them.
