Offered here, for your consideration, are Fasteners for the Rear Trunk and Quarter Extension Moldings found on all 1967 Fastbacks, 1967 Coupes and Convertibles as part of the Exterior Decor Option, and all 1968 Mustangs.

As noted above, this is for the "Nuts Only", and does not include the Nylon Retainers with Studs, or the Nylon Retainers without Studs that were used only on Fastbacks.

The set for Coupes and Convertibles includes 9 (nine), NOS, threaded Stamped Crown (Acorn) Nuts, and 6 (six) reproduction threaded Stamped Hex (PAL type) Nuts.

The set for Fastbacks includes 2 (two) each of NOS, threaded Stamped Crown (Acorn) Nuts and threaded Stamped Washer Head Hex (PAL type) Nuts, and 6 (six) reproduction threaded Stamped Hex (PAL type) Nuts.
While the Trunk Molding ends only require one nut on each end, two different types (the Crown and the Washer Head) are included here. This is because while both the Assembly Manual and Master Parts Catalogs show the two end nuts to be the Stamped Washer Head type, most that have been observed have had the Stamped Crown type. By including two of each, you can make the choice as to which one is "correct" ; at least for you. Personally, I find it odd that, particularly on the outboard ends, there would be a stud sticking through a nut, on which one could easily catch his or her clothing, or worse yet their hand on the exposed stud. However, this may have been too logical for Ford "back then". Either way, you can be the Judge and Jury.
