1964 thru 1966 Convertible top weatherstrip search

Subject: 1964 thru 1966 Convertible top weatherstrip search.

Does anyone know if there is someone reproing '64 through '66 Convertible top weatherstrip that uses the original special hold-down hex nuts instead of the cheap Taiwan small hex hold-down nuts that most repro weatherstrip comes with?  Is this even being produced with the correct bolts and hold-down nuts?

Anyone know?

Please respond.

Thanks,

Tony K.

I bought the set that is available last year and side by side with my original ones, I couldnt tell the difference.  It seems like the set of special hardware I ordered was very close too.
If I remember right, that one piece that goes down the back of the quarter glass had one major difference but I don't remember what it was.??
Well ... LOL... that's a lot of specific help huh?

I believe the difference you noticed is that the rear most strip may have been missing 1 threaded stem? I noticed it in my weatherstripping set from bob drake. No Not Scott drake. I bought this set over 20 years ago and it must have been by another family member.

The fasteners sold by Virginia mustang look spot on from the link provided. Don't know if they have the correct phoshate finish but the illustration looks right.

I wonder if they sell the tiny version of that fastener to hold the stainless surround trim for a 68. Lost half of the little buggers.
