A/C Clutch field rebuild?

Is there anyone that rebuilds Pitts design clutch fields?

I would try classic auto air, I am pretty sure they rebuild all type clutches

Be careful when you take any old item to be rebuilt. Make sure you note on the work order that the original is to be rebuilt and to not substitute a different item, even if it works better. Mark your original with three indents with a punch and hammer in a spot that is not visible when installed.

Not much to restore other then finish (silver) and maybe the wire lead. It is just a electro magnate with the field suspended in a epoxy type matrix.The only 2 things to go wrong typically.  #1, that is if the wire lead pigtail is damaged or broken off.   #2 ,If a wire is broken inside the sealed coil good luck trying to find the break . At that point it is junk and you are better off with a replacement. Not until there are none available anywhere would it make sense moneywise to strip,rewind and seal up a non working field A/C coil IMHO.

In the past I have just sent them in to be plated and I was done.
